A statement by the artist:  “My painting is about choosing subjects and objects from everyday life and honoring them through close and sustained observation. I use high key color and theatrically lit subject matter, whether through my art direction or as it occurs in nature. “

Ann is preparing a five day workshop.  Our format:  Introductions to the course and faculty happen during our pre-meeting time.  Two weeks before the workshop you will enjoy hearing from Sam and your faculty via email.  During this time you will be introduced to our area, our facilities and specifics about your workshop, including any pre-work or exercises.  Next you will come study right on the shore in our one room School House.   Stay at The Yellow Door House (steps away from the School House) or come daily.  We are right on the water and have worked on the house for years.  We feel you will be comfortable with our Nova Scotia quilts, sunsets from the deck, short path to the beach and flowers from the garden.
